Christmas opening hours for a pharmacy near you

Pharmacies across Gloucestershire have restricted opening hours over Christmas.  With pharmacists offering advice on common illness and the best medicines to treat them, it is worth you making sure you know which ones are open.

Some pharmacies are directed by NHS England to open on Christmas Day, whilst others may open voluntarily.  Patients are advised to check if the pharmacy is open before travelling.

If you or someone you care for requires medicines regularly, don't forget to make sure you order and collect repeat prescriptions in good time to ensure you have enough medicine to cover the festive period.  People can order and renew prescriptions through the GP Online Service provided by NHS England.  To find out more about this service, follow the link the www.nhs.uk. 

Your GP surgery will also have reduced opening hours over Christmas and New Year, so do check their Christmas opening hours directly with your surgery.  For minor injuries and illnesses please visit your walk-in centre or minor injuries unit (MIU).  Follow the link to find your nearest MIU.
