GRCC's work on solutions to the Digital Divide featured on BBC News

Big news - we've hit the headlines on the BBC News website!

Following a dedicated feature on digital on BBC Radio Gloucestershire this Tuesday, 13 February, our digital equity work is now making waves online.

Ed Rowe, political reporter for Radio Gloucestershire, visited us at Community House to find out more.  He caught up with Dan Gale, our Digital Inclusion Manager, and some clients from the Independence Trust mental health support service, who have seen first-hand the impact of our DAISI (Digital Accessibility, Inclusion, Support, and Innovation) project.

The DAISI project has been a game-changer for many, and we've given out almost 10,000 SIM cards across Gloucestershire to those most in need to provide a digital lifeline, keeping them plugged in and accessing key services.  Dan Gale said, "It's had a tremendous positive impact enabling individuals to get the most out of society."

A huge thanks also goes to all our partners and supporters for joining our Digital Network to help make this impact.  Keen to find out more?  Dive into the BBC News article and get inspired by the difference we're making together.  Read the full story here.

This shoutout from BBC News is more than just a headline; it's a testament to the power of community and technology joining forces.  Here's to many more connections being made, one SIM card at a time!
