Digital Inclusion Sessions Help Progress Participants

Daniel Gale, our GEM Digital Inclusion Officer, has been delivering sessions for the Churn Project in Cirencester and has been credited by their Employment and Skills Navigator Developer.

Daniel headed down to Cirencester to deliver a day event for all GEM participants in the area. With GEM, who are funded jointly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and European Social Fund, focuses on helping people in Gloucestershire to overcome challenges to employment and move them closer towards or into work.

And one of these challenges is lack of digital and IT skills and Daniel has been involved in delivering support across the county. On his day at the Churn Project, he delivered personalised 1-2-1 support and training, and distributed hardware when applicable. His training covered basic ICT skills to using LinkedIn as a freelancer.

During his time, he saw seven participants and is credited with helping to progress their outcomes. Amanda at the Churn, said, ‘He is so lovely with the participants and knows so much about the world of technology and training. He is an impressive young man. A proper asset to GEM.

Daniel will continue his excellent work and it’s fantastic to hear the feedback. If you would like to find out more about the GEM project click here, or if you would like to contact Daniel, then you can email him on danielg@grcc.org.uk.
