Five Charitable Things to do at Home

As we are now all being asked to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives, we may find ourselves with some extra time on our hands. What better way to spend this extra time than to do something charitable. Read on to find out five things you can do:

Call a friend or relative

It’s more important than ever that we stay in touch with our friends and relatives. As we’re all at home, it’s very easy for us to become isolated without realizing it. Pick up the phone and call someone.

Donate

charities are likely to suffer a great deal in this time of uncertainty and any extra support will be greatly appreciated. You can donate to GRCC to help us continue to serve communities in this difficult time. Donate here.

Leave a review

Online reviews are more important than you might think! Small businesses and charities will be relying on their reputation in the coming months to keep afloat and rebuild. If you’ve had a positive experience somewhere, then let everyone know by leaving either a Google review or a TripAdvisor review.

Sign an online petition

There are many great causes that need support and it’s as easy as entering your name and email. Keep an eye out on Change.org for petitions to sign where you can make an actual difference to the world from the comfort of your home.

Take part in online discussion

Social media can sometimes be a negative place at the best of times with the rise of trolls. Help to change that trend and take part in a positive conversation. There are fantastic community efforts taking place that you can comment on.

Remember to stay safe and stay at home during these times.
