Steve Moore

Community Development Officer Stroud and Forest of Dean Districts

Steve Moore is our Community Development Officer for Stroud and the Forest of Dean districts.  

Steve can provide parish and town councils with an introduction to community-led planning options, and training on community consultation methods.

He also offers support to voluntary and community sector organisations (including those running community buildings) covering fundraising, community engagement, and governance.

Steve has worked within the NHS, VCSE sector, and most recently at Gloucestershire Carers Hub, where he was a Community Facilitator. He believes in the power of communities to work creatively to build better futures, and hopes his people skills have given him the ability to build and develop community partnerships.

Outside of work, Steve volunteers in Scouting and is a news reader for GFM radio. He is a keen photographer, having been employed as a photographer in the NHS. He now photographs creative people whose practice he seeks to highlight.
