Big Energy Saving Week - starts 21 January

The Big Energy Saving Week (BESW) starts on Monday, 21 January 2019.  It is a national campaign to help people cut their energy bills and get all the financial support they are entitled to.

The week focuses on raising public awareness of how to save money on energy costs by switching energy supplier of tariff, accessing discounts or grants, and making homes more energy efficient.

Use the Citizens Advice energy price comparison tool to see if you can save money by switching energy tariff or supplier.  You can also get advice on energy, debt and benefits, and you can see if you as an individual are eligible for a grant by checking the Energy Grants calculator on Gov.uk.

GRCC is a Bronze partner for BESW and will be giving advice on energy saving at the Stroud District Village and Community Hall Network event on Monday, 21 January.

If you are involved in a project looking to install energy saving measures / alternative technologies then have a look to see if your project would be eligible for grant funding through Biffa.  Contact GRCC for help and support to complete your application: info@grcc.org.uk
