Funding Advice
GRCC provides proactive and reactive funding advice to voluntary and community groups across Gloucestershire as well as hosting the Gloucestershire Funding Advisers Network (GeFAN).
We employ a team of rural advisers who help to deliver funding advice and support to community projects. The advisers will help to research grant making organisations using specialist knowledge of funder requirements and history of successful bid making.
GRCC advisers and project staff are able to help community groups by
- providing help to develop project management skills
- developing community projects to become ‘funding ready’
- advising on consultation techniques
- sourcing funding opportunities for the projects
- linking the project aims with the objectives of the funders
- helping to write funding strategies and business plans
GRCC is able to offer practical funding advice through workshops or events, promoting greater interaction between funders and community groups. Any such events will be posted on the GRCC events page.
