GRCC leads advice on Parish and Community-led Plans in Gloucestershire.
We provide support material and guidance to encourage communities to carry out inclusive, robust and high quality consultations and action plans.
What is a Parish and Community-led Plan?
- A parish and community-led plan:
- Sets out a vision for the future of your community
- Consults with the community to identify issues and priorities
- Develops an action plan which covers the issues that concern your community
- Develops partnership working
- Can be used to influence agencies' strategies and relates to the local development framework.

GRCC's rural advice team will help you at every stage of your parish and community-led plan. We will:
- Give neutral and independent advice
- Provide a toolkit of information to guide the process
- Help identify potential sources of funding to finance your plan
- Give training and advice on consultation techniques and how to turn the results into an action plan
- Provide links to other organisations to move forward actions
- Attend some key meetings to advise on the process
- Answer queries
- Link communities for support and joint learning

Making Actions Happen
GRCC is working with local authority officers and other agencies to ensure Parish and Community Led Plans are effective. We are working together to continue to improve the process to make sure the community's objectives are achieved.
