GRCC is recruiting for the post of Social Prescriber for the South Cotswolds area.  This area is within the Cotswold District Council boundary, south of Northleach.

Social prescribing is a growing movement in England which can lead to a range of positive health and wellbeing outcomes for people, so this is an exciting time to join the GRCC Community Wellbeing Service team.

You will work closely with individuals referred into the service, enabling them to improve their health and wellbeing through techniques such as motivational interviewing, health coaching and enabling them to form stronger connections with their local community.  The role also provides excellent opportunities for you to work with a variety of partners across the locality.

This Social Prescriber role will provide an ideal career starter or progression opportunity for people from a variety of backgrounds and will be of particular interest to those from health and social care, sociology, psychology, community development and learning disciplines.

The role will be varied and will allow opportunities for you to develop and demonstrate skills in engagement, person centred, holistic approaches and forging effective links with partners.  We want someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, can support people in a non-judgemental way, is a quick learner, adaptable and proactive.  Is this you?
