Peer Worker Autism 
(Maternity Cover approx. 6 months)

£16,253 (pro rata) per annum
20 hours per week
Based Gloucester

A short term post for Peer Worker with our Autism Service (CASA) has become available due to maternity leave.

You will work with individuals and groups with a diagnosis of Autism to develop and deliver the service across the county.  This will include developing peer support based on common interest and a 1:1 mentoring / buddy programme, to provide individual support in the community.  You will also support individuals and families post diagnosis with information that supports the understanding of Autism and the impact it can have on both the individual and the families.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate and with experience of working in the field of Autism.  Preferably you will have a Level 2 qualification in Autism.  You will also have some experience of working with families of those with a diagnosis of Autism.

You will be based in Gloucester but will be expected to travel across the county as required.
