Interviews: Thursday, 8 September 2022 for shortlisted candidates

Are you passionate about helping people, especially those most vulnerable members of our communities?  Would you like to have the opportunity to make a positive difference to people's lives?

We are looking for two energetic 'people persons' who can support clients in a non-judgemental way on a one-to-one basis and who will help to build community capacity, creating activities and opportunities for the individuals they are supporting to be engaged in community life, reducing their sense of social isolation and loneliness, and helping them to gain other health benefits.  If you have had experience either through a professional role or as a volunteer supporting people on a one-to-one basis, this will give you the foundation to develop your skills.

You will be part of an existing Social Prescribing Team who will support you in your learning as well as providing you with a good team working ethic.  We will give you training on techniques such as motivational interviewing and health coaching to enable the clients you are working with to form stronger connections with their local community.

We welcome applications from across the breadth of communities we strive to support, and aspire to diversity in our team - including of ethnic background, religion or belief systems, sex, sexuality, or gender identity - as a source of strength.

The job description and person specification plus application form can be found through the buttons on the right.

Applications will only be accepted on the GRCC application form, and should be submitted by 12noon on Friday, 2 September 2022.  In your application please explain how you meet the qualities outlined in the person specification.

If you have any queries about this role please contact jobs@grcc.org.uk or Barbara Pond bpond@grcc.org.uk

If you do not hear from us within three weeks of the closing date then you will not have been shortlisted for the role.
