Neighbourhood Planning - Locality grants plus Gloucestershire NDP event

Locality will continue to deliver the Neighbourhood Planning Support Programme over the next four years, from 2018 to 2022. The programme builds on the 2015 to 18 programme and any support previously received will be taken into account.

All groups undertaking a Neighbourhood Plan or Neighbourhood Development Order are eligible to apply for up to £9,000 in basic grant.  Groups which meet the eligibility criteria can also apply for technical support to help with their Neighbourhood Plan or Neighbourhood Development Order.

Grant funding must be spent within 12 months or by the end of the financial year, whichever is earliest.

Neighbourhood Planning Workshop, 6th June

GRCC will be jointly hosting a Neighbourhood Planning Workshop with CPRE and GAPTC on 6th June, from 10.30am to 3.30pm in the Gambier Parry Rooms, Highnam Community Centre.  This will be suitable for parish and town councils, neighbourhood groups and forums at any stage of the Neighbourhood Planning process - from 'thinking about' to 'made'.

Jeff Bishop from Place Studio will be presenting initial findings from the CPRE funded research on 'made plans' in the South West so that we can consider if the plans are making a difference and having an influence on the ground.  Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend workshops, as well as network over lunch with workshop facilitators and active groups from other parts of Gloucestershire.
