Decommissioning of the Gloucestershire Community Wellbeing Service

It is with great sadness that we have to share the news that the Gloucestershire Community Wellbeing Service Social Prescribers Project has now been decommissioned and will cease operating on Monday 30th September 2024.  We have been in the process of winding down our service for the Cotswolds and Stroud & Berkeley Vale over the past few months, and have worked hard with our remaining clients to give them the support they need going forward.

In future if you are looking for wellbeing support you could search on ‘Your Circle’ which you can find at https://www.yourcircle.org.uk/.  The Gloucestershire VCS Alliance also has a new search engine for anyone trying to help avoid the need for someone to be admitted to hospital or enable their timely discharge from hospital, which you can find at https://www.yourcircle.org.uk/Information/VCSE-admission-avoidance-and-discharge     You can also download a directory of other support agencies by clicking on this link.

For further information about the decision to decommission the Community Wellbeing Service,  please see https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/latest-news-for-members-from-council-and-partners/community-wellbeing-service-and-the-future-of-social-prescribing-in-gloucestershire/

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all our Social Prescribers, clients, our cross-sector partners within the NHS and Voluntary Sector, our local communities, and volunteers who have collectively made this a very special and rewarding project.
