Rural Housing Summit 2021

The Rural Housing Summit 2021 is set to take place between the 21st and 27th February and it will allow individuals and communities to come together to share how we can tackle the rural housing crisis.

GRCC has always held an interest in rural and affordable housing and we run GlosHub which is the one-stop-shop for community led housing in Gloucestershire. We also have a regularly housing needs survey schedule for parishes in the county and so we fully support this summit as a way to tackle the rural housing crisis.

There will be a number of events taking place during the week focusing on different ways rural communities are taking action to provide affordable, high quality, sustainable homes for young and older residents.

ACRE are set to host two seminars that showcase what has been achieved by communities in England. Head to their website to book on to those events.

You can also head to the Rural Housing Scotland website to check out the full itinerary for the week. Each day has a specific theme:

Monday – Community-Led Housing

Tuesday - Quality Homes for Rural Communities

Wednesday – Affordable Homes for All

Thursday – Resourcing for Rural Homes

Friday – The Future of Rural Places

Make sure you take part in this great week!
