Thriving Communities Fund

The Thriving Communities fund has been set up by Gloucestershire County Council and has been created to support not-for-profit organisations and community groups who provide activities and support that help people stay well, do the things they enjoy and remain living independently at home for as long as possible.

During the financial year for 2020-21, the fund can be used to support local voluntary sector agencies and community groups who are supporting vulnerable people during the Covid-19 crisis.  The county council are looking for new or existing projects that are innovative and make a positive difference to the community.

Due to the current limitations that the pandemic has caused, projects can be carried out virtually or with the use of technology. The criteria for application are:

•          Help to promote social engagement and connections

•          Build confidence and provide activities

•          Enriching lives and personal wellbeing

The deadline for applications is on the 31st July so be sure to get yours in as soon as possible. The decision panels will take place in August and awards given in September.
