Success in Community Led Homes Enabler Hub Grants Programme

GRCC are pleased to announce that we have been successful in our bid to the Community Led Homes Enabler Hub Grants Programme. Keep reading to find out more:

GRCC submitted the bid in late 2019 and we are pleased to say that we have been successful in this process. This will enable us to launch Community Homes GlosHub where people can come together to develop their own community-led housing projects. The hub will be launched within the next few weeks so keep an eye out for further news on this.

Community led housing is a way that people and communities can come together to solve their own housing challenges and provide high quality and affordable homes. The homes are managed or owned by the community in the way they want. Community-Led Housing is a growing movement in the UK and through this programme it can continue to grow within Gloucestershire.

Community Led Homes is run by four leading community-led housing organisations: Confederation of Co-operative Housing, Locality, National Community Land Trust Network and UK Cohousing.

The Community Led Homes Enabler Hub Grants Programme aims to expand the network of specialist regional organisations helping groups of local people to develop their own community led housing solutions. The programme is funded by the Community Housing Fund from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). More information can be found at here.
