Working Collaboratively
Our third training course this autumn is the Working Collaboratively delivered by Chris Hickey from Charlton HR. This article previews the course and what you can expect from it.
This is a short session led by Chris Hickey for trustees and managers and will be an opportunity for them to explore some of the issues involved in working with other organisations.
Chris Hickey is an experienced Management and HR consultant and is now director of Charlton HR, a company that he set up, which helps small to medium sized organisations to manage their HR and organisational development. Chris has had extensive experience with the voluntary and community sector and this makes him an ideal trainer for this workshop.
There is a clear gradient involved in organisations working together that starts with not competing with each other, moves to sharing information and/or resources, through to cooperation and on to collaboration.
This session will look at:
• The benefits of each approach
• Explore some learning from Game Theory
• Identify some of the blocks and barriers.
It will be a mixture of theory and practice and delegates are welcome to bring issues from their experience.
The course is £60 (incl VAT) but there are bursaries available for voluntary and community sector organisations in Gloucestershire with an annual income of under £350k.
The course will be held at the GRCC offices in Gloucester which is in the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral.
