Dementia Action Alliance – Forest of Dean Celebration Day

The Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) is hosting a celebration day in the Forest of Dean on the 27th September which will host dementia friendly activities and aims to increase dementia awareness.

The event is set to place at Berry Hill Rugby Club on Friday 27th September from 12pm to 5pm. There will be a number of activities as can be seen by the poster above. The activities are designed to be fun but also dementia friendly.

The main activities that will take place are:

·         Vintage tractor show

·         Meet the Police dogs at 2pm

·         Alliance member stalls

·         Hot food and refreshments

·         Networking opportunities

·         Prize draw

With all this involved the day looks set to be a fun filled event and is a great opportunity to learn more about dementia and the services available in the local area but also have fun at the same time. There will also be a dedicated quiet space for anyone who needs it and is in line with this being a dementia friendly event.

The event is free to attend and so anyone is welcome to turn up on the day.
