Brief summary of the hall

The village hall is the old village school building, dating from the 1850s.  It was completely refurbished in summer 2009 to a very high standard which includes new toilets and kitchen together with new vinyl flooring and good heating arrangements.  The hall is a light and airy room with a high ceiling, and measures 15ft 6ins (4.7m) by 36ft (11m).

Access is via a short path to the right hand side of Pear Tree Cottage.  There are two steps to enter the hall but once inside, the entrance hall, main hall and toilets are all level.

There are two steps up from the hall to the kitchen, with a ramp for disabled access, and the kitchen has a door to the slightly sloping path outside.  By using the kitchen door and the ramp, the whole of the Village Hall is accessible to disabled users.
