Marilyn joined GRCC in 2005 following on from her career in teaching geography and volunteering to work on a community building programme in the Forest. Since then she’s worked on a number of different projects with communities, from financial advice and business planning to the right kind of paint to restore a red telephone box!.

As Rural Adviser to North Cotswolds, and in Stroud, community planning and now Neighbourhood Plans are important, and Marilyn can help you to think through which is the best way forward.

In addition she helps to support communities putting in place their local community emergency plans, and gives them a link into the higher levels of emergency planning with the Gloucestershire Local Resilience Forum.
