When should I enter my hall for a Hallmark Assessment?

Assessments can be undertaken at any time of the year

Can any hall take part in the Hallmark Scheme?

No. Your hall must be run by a registered charity to participate

What does the visit entail?

For Hallmark One – you will need to produce documentation prior to the visit by the Hallmark peer reviewers. For the other 2 Hallmark sections documentation will be needed to be provided for the peer reviewers on the day of your assessment

How long does a visit by the Hallmark Visitors take?

Each assessment takes rough 1 – 2 hours

Does everyone on my management committee need to be present in order for a Hallmark assessment to take place?

No, normally up to 3 members of your management committee should be present, preferably with one user group represented

What’s my first step?

Once you have contacted the GRCC to express interest in participating in the scheme you will be asked to provide three dates on which a visit can take place. Following on from this the GRCC will contact you with one of these dates confirming your visit.

How will my hall receive an award?

The GRCC will notify you once you have achieved your Hallmark. A framed certificate will be presented to you to display within your hall

How long does each hallmark assessment last for?

Once your hall has been awarded a Hallmark status, this lasts for three years from the date on the certificate
