We carry out a variety of research and analysis in order to:
Assist community groups involved in consultation
For example, we offer a free data scanning & analysis service for Parish & Community led Plans, including questionnaire advice. For 2008/09 we are in a position to offer this service free of charge to groups who are working with a GRCC Rural Adviser on their Plan. For more information on Parish & Community led Plans click here.Underpin and advise our own work
For example, analysis of evaluation questionnaires completed by attendees at GRCC events allows us to pinpoint good practice, improve future service delivery and provide feedback to partners.Add value to GRCC projects
For example, the Rural Renaissance partnership funds GRCC to undertake the ‘Gap Analysis’ project, which aims to collect and present information about initiatives in Gloucestershire which are contributing to the delivery of the Gloucestershire Rural Economic Strategy (GRES). Detailed information is produced on each of the projects and is analysed on a regular basis to produce a breakdown by strategic objective, funder and geographical area. This allows the Rural Economic Management Group (REMG) and other bodies to examine where further efforts need to be targeted in order to deliver successfully on all aspects of the GRES.Provide an additional income stream to diversify our funding base
We receive commissions to undertake one-off research and analysis projects on behalf of partners, other agencies and community groups within Gloucestershire.
Specialist survey software considerably reduces the time taken to input and analyse data and allows us to produce professional questionnaires. We have recently purchased an additional module to enable us to host web-based surveys.
