GRCC hosted a successful event on July 11th to inform communities in the Cotswolds about the Big Lottery's Playful Ideas funding scheme and to launch the first district-wide parish plan network. Representatives from over 20 community groups attended the afternoon event at Aldsworth Village Hall which kicked off with a lively presentation and question and answer session with Big Lottery representatives Rachel Ware and Olivia Gore. It was followed with a networking session for parish plan groups which gave people the opportunity to discuss the risks involved in carrying out community consulation, a case study about a successful parish plan and ideas for future sessions. We have emailed groups attending this session a copy of the risk analysis we have prepared for groups starting out on the parish plan process.
