The co-working phenomenon arrives in Gloucester!

Co-working is taking the world by storm - no more long office leases or working from home on your own, now there are community spaces for the modern workplace.  And now it has arrived in Gloucester!

The Wheelhouse has opened a new co-working space on College Green in partnership with GRCC.  The space is made up of full-time desks, hot desks, a relaxed seating area and two meeting rooms with unlimited fresh coffee and events laid on for members.  It has flexible one-month contracts for freelancers, small businesses and social enterprises.  Aiming to be big on community and low on cost, offering an alternative to working from home, a drab office block or a cramped coffee shop.

Janice Banks, CEO of GRCC, said: "We are delighted to be working with The Wheelhouse and supporting the Gloucester economy.  Our experience in working with communities is complemented by their great set up for local entrepreneurs and start up businesses.  It's a great partnership."

Alex Lloyd Davis, Managing Director of The Wheelhouse, said: "We aim to create a friendly, flourishing space for you to drive your business forward.  The Wheelhouse Gloucester is light, airy and inspiring.  We invite anyone interested to pop in and check out the space for themselves."

The Wheelhouse launch event was on Wednesday 31 October with Mayor Joanne Brown cutting the ribbon (pictured above with Janice Banks, and Alex Lloyd Davies, Sanjay Mahtani (Director, The Wheelhouse Group) and Harry Turner (Co-Founder with Alex of The Wheelhouse Group).
