WILD Project Spring-Summer 2017 Newsletter

What is the WILD Project?

Between parishes, wildlife populations can vary hugely. The Water with Integrated Local Delivery (WILD) Project aims to provide communities with an insight of what is on their doorstep and how they can be involved in managing and enhancing the wildlife that inhabits nearby water courses.

The WILD project has three elements: community engagement linked to parish planning and Neighbourhood Planning by GRCC; land owner engagement by the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) and ecological support from the Cotswold Water Park Trust (CWPT). The project is evaluated by the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI).

A short film entitiled 'WILD Works' focusing on the benefits of the WILD approach to the community and individuals was completed in 2017 and can be viewed here.
