Healthwatch Gloucestershire

Healthwatch Gloucestershire (HWG) was established in 2013 to act as the independent, local consumer champion for health and social care for adults and children and is independent of GRCC in its functions. It acts as a single point of access to the public for health and social care information and advice and has three main functions:

  • To gather people’s views and experiences of health and social care and use them to help shape, influence and change the way services are planned and provided in the Gloucestershire
  • To provide people with information to help them make informed choices about their health and social care needs through the free information database ‘Find a Service’ page of the Healthwatch website at or by calling one of our experienced information advisers
  • To provide access to the Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service (provided by SEAP in Gloucestershire) for individuals who need help to make a complaint about an NHS service they have received

If you would like to find out more about the work of Healthwatch or register as a member and help us to influence the way services are provided locally, please either call us on 0800 652 5193, email or visit the website at
