Gloucestershire LINk
A LINk is an independent voluntary body made up of individuals, community groups and organisations across Gloucestershire, working together to influence, improve or change the way local health and social care services are planned and delivered.
LINk’s primary function is to gather the views of Gloucestershire’s residents on their experiences of health and social care and share them with the commissioners, providers and regulators of the services. If the LINk notices a trend in a certain issue, it can set up a task group to look at the issue and produce a report, which goes to the commissioners and providers of the service. These reports must be responded to within 20 working days. The LINk also has the power to ‘Enter and View’ premises to see how well services are working.
