Gloucestershire Annual Local History Afternoon

Main Hall, Sir Thomas Rich’s School, Longlevens
Saturday 4th October 2008, 2-5pm, doors open 1.15pm

"Poets and Writers in Gloucestershire"

Talks, exhibitions, bookstalls and a chance to meet & discuss local history in Gloucestershire.

Talks:

  • "Poetry and Poets in Gloucestershire" by Alan Tucker
  • "Ivor Gurney and his friend F.W. Harvey" by Anthony Boden

Awards:

  • Presentation of the Bryan Jerrard Award to the writer of the best published article on local history in Gloucestershire in the past year
  • A prize for the best display by a local history society

Everyone welcome

Entry, including tea and biscuits is £5 payable at the door, free to GRCC members.
