Coping with the loss of a loved one

Are you interested in helping people through the grief process?

GRCC is working with grief support trainers, Learning2Cope and other partners to offer 12 individuals the opportunity to participate in FREE bereavement facilitation training. These sessions will take place at Highnam Parish Rooms from 10am to 4pm on 19th and 20th September and 10th and 11th October 2008.

This two part training delivered by Dr Bill Webster, will focus on grief awareness and grief support facilitation. Once training is complete, successful candidates will work with us and partners on a volunteer basis to set up an ongoing bereavement support group in one of the six districts of the county. A counselling background would be beneficial but not essential.
