The winners of Calor Gloucestershire Village of the Year 2008 will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony held at Highnam Court, Highnam, nr Gloucester on Friday 18th July 2008.

Villages will be judged on eight categories, namely Community Life, Business, Young People, Older People, the Environment, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Healthy village and Safer village with prize money totalling £4,500.

In addition to our regular sponsors, we are pleased to announce a new prize courtesy of the Citizen Newspaper. They will provide expert help and assistance to the winners of the ‘Most Promising Website’. B&Q in Gloucester have also again generously donated a fabulous gas powered barbeque for the Grand Prize Draw. Every completed form returned to GRCC by the 5th May will automatically be entered into this draw, with the prize to be presented at the awards ceremony in July.
